BCN3D opens a logistics center in the US to hire a local team and boost growth by 2022

The new logistics center located in New Jersey responds to increased demand for BCN3D 3D printers and Smart Cabinets in North America from customers in industries such as automotive, manufacturing and engineering. BCN3D’s newly appointed channel sales manager, Kevin Billett, will be responsible for leading the company’s expansion in the northern part of the continent.

Our spin-off, already positioned as a leading manufacturer of 3D printing solutions, BCN3D, today announced its expansion into North America with a new logistics center in New Jersey, the first of its kind for the company outside its Gavá, Barcelona headquarters, along with a new Channel Sales Manager.. This follows the momentum of an eventful four months on BCN3D’s calendar, with the purchase ofAstro Print, the launch of its new software Cloud and the unveiling of its new Metal Pack at last November’s Formnext in Frankfurt, with all the tools needed to make affordable stainless steel 3D printing a reality.

This is a step in the right direction for BCN3D, which has made the decision in part based on the significant growth it has experienced in North America in recent years. This local expansion will offer better services with a faster response to the needs of its customers in North America.

As the more efficient shipping route than from BCN3D’s headquarters in Barcelona, it provides the entity with much greater agility for order deliveries in North America by eliminating product transits and instead servicing from U.S. soil. The new logistics center represents a strong commitment to environmental sustainability by being able to deliver a greater number of shipments to a larger number of customers.

The establishment of this North American hub will strengthen ties with BCN3D’s existing partnersMatterhackers, Dynamism, Shop3D and 3D Platform – and meet the needs of industries such as automotive, engineering and manufacturing. Channel sales manager Kevin Billett and his team will be responsible for strengthening relationships with North American resellers and driving BCN3D’s expansion in the region.

“Our expansion into the U.S. and the rest of North America is an important milestone for BCN3D, as it indicates that the company is now fully capable of meeting the needs and demands of BCN3D’s partners and customers in the region. The new facility in New Jersey will offer great business opportunities there from 2022, enhance our relationship with customers and represent BCN3D’s commitment to environmental sustainability as we consolidate larger shipments for more customers with a logistics center closer to them in North America” – explains BCN3D CEO Xavier Martinez Faneca.
