With the desire to promote cooperation in areas of common interest, the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM) and CIM UPC have signed a cooperation agreement this May in order to improve the exchange of scientific knowledge and increase collaboration between both parties.

Within the agreed fields, both institutions will seek to engage in different types of cooperation, subject to future specific agreements:

– Joint research projects (international programs)
– Exchange of academic publications
– Exchange of students and researchers
– Organization of symposiums, seminars and congresses.

During KIMM’s visit to CIM UPC, the CIM UPC facilities were visited and later some research groups on the EEBE UPC campus were visited.

On this visit we have been accompanied by Dr. Climent Molins, Vice Chancellor of Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the UPC and Mr. Carles Miranda, Manager of Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy at ACCIÓ.

This visit represents a great challenge to increase the internationalization of CIM UPC and seeks to promote new collaborations based on innovation and technology.
