MOTLLES EMMA

Pathological anatomy uses immunohistochemistry to analyze biopsies and determine treatments, but extensive analyses are expensive. Tissue microarrays (TMAs) optimize these analyses, significantly reducing costs, although commercial molds are expensive and not customizable. Therefore, there is a need to develop cost-effective and customizable tools for the creation of TMAs, in order to optimize patient diagnosis. CIM UPC has supported the project by enabling research in 3D printing technology to generate TMA molds, which has resulted in new intellectual property for the research group involved in the collaboration.
