3DBONE BIOTECH. Research project on the generative design of a human bone model and its manufacturing using a new 3D printing technology and new biomaterials.
This research project aims to generate algorithmically designed human bone models suitable for manufacturing using a new 3D printing technology specifically developed with advanced biocompatible substrates.
Based on these 3D biomimetic human bone models, the project focuses on designing a new 3D printing system based on high-precision vat photopolymerization technology. This system will be used to manufacture biomimetic human bone samples with improved mechanical behavior.
To achieve this objective, a new photopolymerizable substrate for 3D printing will be developed in order to study its future potential as a graft for bone tissue engineering strategies.
