DWYN
The DWYN project (EXPERIMENTAL DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW DUAL 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY FOR OBTAINING STRUCTURAL STAINLESS STEEL PARTS) aims to achieve the experimental development of a new TIG-WAAM printing technology using two heads for the printing of stainless steel structural parts, which represents a significant and objective leap over the current state of the art. This will be achieved by developing a new prototype system that ensures increased productivity and cost reduction, alongside the consequent reduction in environmental impact characteristic of current processes, while also increasing the level of knowledge within the industry and associated agents, and contributing to the development of higher value-added products.
The consortium is formed by Acerinox Europa, Codesol, the POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF CATALONIA with the participation of the PROCOMAME (Metallic Materials Forming Processes) and ATEM (Analysis and Technology of Structures and Materials) groups, and CIM UPC.
